1. What’s superheated steam?

The steam corresponding to water evaporation is saturated steam, but it is wet saturated steam at first. After the saturated steam is heated further when the water in the steam is completely evaporated to become dry saturated steam. The dry saturated steam is further heated to a temperature above 200℃ to 600℃. This kind of steam is called superheated steam.

The pressure of superheated steam is not corresponding to the density of steam. Superheated steam uses a special heating method to produce ultra-dry saturated steam under normal pressure, with a temperature of above 200℃ to 600℃, and clean dry steam without water.

1)Superheated steam in food drying

Uses superheated steam to directly contact the dried material to remove moisture is a new drying method developed in recent years. Compared with traditional hot air drying, this drying method uses water vapor as the drying medium, and the exhaust gas discharged by the dryer is all steam. The latent heat of steam can be recovered and reused by condensation.
